Spotlight - Support Shirts • 04.28.08
I was sent an email a while ago from Tara over at Support Shirts, a small homegrown and successful clothing brand started in 2005 out of New York City. They have been featured on Fuse as well as in Wonkavision. They have a few designs that caught my eye such as their Support NYC shirt shown in the image to the left and Umbrella which is a grey shirt with a girl holding an umbrella standing in the rain. Their clothing can be found in a select number of Hot Topic clothing stores or purchased through the site here.
I recently checked out Essential Clothing’s site and I must say it is very nicely designed with some very unique shirt designs I haven’t seen anywhere else. Essential Clothing is a small company based in San Diego, CA started by two brothers a few years ago. Their clothing is designed to target people interested in high quality fashions for surf, snowboard and skateboard crowds. Within the next year they are looking to get into board-shorts, base layer snowboard wear and beanies. Every season they put on an art show/concert. The last even they put on they brought in Eek-a-mouse and was a huge success benefiting Wild Coast - “Clean Water Now”. One of the shirts that really stood out when checking the site was the “I Heart Them” women’s shirt. Head over and check out the design as well as a few others. Their site can be found 
Today’s spotlight shines in the direction of Monsieur Poulet a humor oriented website which invites artists to submit their designs that will then be voted on. Twice a month the winners of the vote are printed on T-Shirts and bags which can be purchased through the site. Check out the site
